Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We enjoyed fireworks by the lake and fed a few mosquitoes but had a great time! Big juicy burgers with all the trimmings are on tap for our supper. Yummy!
Last Friday, at the Golden Gese Quilt Shop, Claire had a wonderful finish of her scrappy tumblers. Yeay, Claire!

Sue was working on some summery garden fabrics that are so pretty!

Beverly got the last row assembled of her navy blue and white Hunter's Star and spread it out to be photographed.

But, wait, something is off kilter here! Two rows have mistakes. Poor Beverly!
This block is wrong.

This block is right.

Claire helped Beverly to see where she had sewn rows together wrong and Beverly will fix it. But oh, the disappointment! She was near tears. Nevermind, Beverly, fix it now and it will be forever right!

Maureen had a neat little patriotic piece that she is doing in traditional fabrics. Hooray for the red white and blue!

I just love those cheddar borders!

As for me, I mostly socialized but I cut and measured a couple of inner borders for my Starstruck top.

Have a safe and happy 4th!

Happy sewing!

Sounds like a Fourth of fun! : )
That is a wonderful scrap creation of tumblers.
Sue's fabrics are very pretty and summery.
I feel so bad for Beverly and her wonderful Hunter's Star top. It will be stunning!
Love Maureen's little patriotic piece.
Hey, sometimes the socializing is all you need.

I've never commented here but I enjoy all your inspiration. Love making the traditional block quilts and the Hunter Star is gorgeous. It is on my list. Thank you for the pics. They remind me how many more quilts I want to make. Patty Mc
