Today would've been my 50th wedding anniversary with Felix. When he died last July, I was heartbroken. Now I try to take heart in all the wonderful memories that I have of times we shared.

Rest in peace, my darling!

I know the pain you are feeling... mine has been gone 18 months and I miss him terribly. Sending you big hugs and lots of love.

I think you should celebrate in some way - that's a wonderful milestone, even if "different". Not many people come near to that milestone. I am coming up to on 22, and I WILL celebrate even if he's not here. You continue to be in my thoughts -

Think of the many wonderful times you had for 49+ years, Vic!
(Nice to see your post. Hope you are well.)

That's such a shame that he isn't with you to celebrate the 50 years but you can celebrate your lives together and I'm sure you did celebrate together many times. SO many people don't have that joy.
God bless.

I am thinking of you and hope you are able to "come back" to your blog. But many of us will be here, hopefully myself included. This widowhood ain't for sissies, is it? I'm sewing quite a bit and find it therapeutic. Today I worked on making new-to-me crumb blocks, then cut out letters from the crumbs, have applied Steam a Seam, and will fuse, then blanket stitch them down to a ??? unknown for now. My courage to try something new turned out unexpectedly attractive! Who knew? Be strong.
