Yikes! No Internet in all of New Hampshire!

When it was a sharp chilly wind yesterday, our DSL internet connection went down and was out all day and night until 11pm. Geez, I was checking in every hour. I have become very addicted to my internet lifestyle. So many of you are my friends now as I visit and comment on the blogs and enjoy Quiltville.com and quiltvillechat, too. It pleases me that I can be there without disturbing anyone else's nap, or their argument with their darling husband, or their first attempt at making homemade Hollandaise sauce. And when any of you bore me, I just click you away and there are no hard feelings. To me, internet friends are the most emotionally honest of all of my relationships, so I value you dearly!
I was especially glad that the TDS corporation restored service before Bonnie's Orca Bay clue #4 came out this morning! So I caught the clue early and began by cutting up my papers for the 64 five and a half inch red string blocks.
These are more of that Strathmore Bond from a yard sale $2 bargain box! Will I EVER use all this up? This next picture is from last December when I was using the same stuff for Roll, Roll Cotton Boll.
Because it is legal size, I got two squares out of each sheet and then, with the rest, I filled my notepaper scraps basket on my desk by the phone.
Then I cut up some red strings in gay profusion:
I was tired and it was later on after I had brought Matthew home from his Concord NHTI campus, but I wanted to get an actual red string block sewn! But they were addictive. I did six. They look so bright and cheery. They are theraputic for a grey day.

Tomorrow I'll work on them some more, they're fun!
