Today I am a very happy and healthy 66 years old, yippee!!!
My celebrations began by eating the huge brunch that Husband Wonderful cooked for me.
I had a whole wheat English muffin with a big pork sausage pattie, scrambled eggs mixed with lots of shredded cheese and hot coffee.
Then he gave me a beautiful card and sent me off to the Rochester, New Hampshire "Cocheco Quilt Show" in my new, "Holy Scrap," tee shirt. Thank you, Camille, from The Evergreen Quilt shop in Milton, New Hampshire, for this photo!
My gift to him was to leave him home, LOL!
The show is held at the Rochester, New Hampshire Community Center right on Route 125 near the Lilac Mall and is a $7 admission.
I was among the very few still using a camera rather than a cell phone to record some of the lovely quilts on display for you. First, of course, is the "Car Quilt!" You may click to enlarge the pictures.
One of the featured quilters was Judey Clemons, and I enjoyed her exhibit.
My personal bias came into play when I discovered that there were several entries of Civil War row-by-row quilts.
They were each very creatively done.
I tend to be more center-oriented on quilt designs, so this was mind expanding.
This quilt, below, caught my eye because it was all cotton flannel and was quilted by Kelly Jerome from the Footprints Quilt shop in East Rochester, New Hampshire.
Another quilt that impressed me featured Moda's Atelier fabrics from Three Sisters and it was beautiful!
This quilt was very regimented in the design but it was so well executed that I loved it!
The next quilt made me inwardly gasp to see all the small 4-Patches! What fine workmanship!
One of my favorite vendors at the show is Cheryl Wentworth of The Seasoned Saltbox, and it was good to see her and collect a big hug!
She took my picture of my Birthday Booty held in my hands.
It was so hard to take away only 16 of her half yard cuts because I wanted them all, LOL!!!
Aren't they beautiful? And so are those three Fat Quarters from the Evergreen Quilt shop in Milton, New Hampshire.
I also want to say a huge "THANK YOU!" to Beverly, Sue, and Maureen for all their sweet gifts to me the night before my birthday at Friday quilters, too!
Felix had taken me out for a lovely Prime Rib served only on Friday nights at the Water Street Cafe in Laconia, New Hampshire. Yumm-o!

Happy Birthday--looks like you had a delightful time! Yummy fabrics. I'll bet it was hard to narrow it down.
Great new T-shirt. That Camille is a sweetheart. I hope I have a chance to go to her shop again someday.
