Friday Finishing

Friday Quilters at the Golden Gese was great fun for the Hunter's Star quilters. No, I'm not doing this one, but Maureen and Beverly and Sue are all making good progress on it.

Here's Maureen carefully assembling pieces.

Beverly had enough to show a row that's already put together. Nice work!

They all agreed that careful pinning of the pieces is essential for accuracy on this block.

Barbara had assembled a really cute snowman quilt that is adorable!

As for me, I was just finishing up the hand hemming of my little "Twinklers" quilt.

Finally it is done and I took some photos outdoors for better lighting.

The Twinklers are 6" blocks made from 2½" scrappy squares and the quilt is a mere 47" square.

I alternated light blocks with dark blocks to keep the eye moving around the quilt.

It has a nice cuddly blue flannel backing which will help keep it from sliding off of its owner's lap.

It is a really cute chill chaser that would make a great baby quilt, but this one is going to be for a wheelchair user.
Even the binding is scrappy!

Happy sewing!

A very delightful finish, Vic. I'm sure whoever has the good fortune to own this quilt will be happy for the warmth and the happy design!
