The End of an Icon

Today marks the very last day that Keepsake Quilting's retail store in Center Harbor, New Hampshire is open for business. They had sent me an email last week announcing 80% off their prices before moving to their North Carolina store. So last Friday I went up there and bought these beauties.

It was just over 25 yards of fabric and my bill after the discount was $44.00. Wow! I will miss them sorely even though they will continue to sell online.

Happy Quilting!

You really stocked up on the reds, Vic (no surprise there). I'm glad my memories of my first visit to Keepsake Quilting include my oldest daughter, you and Grace. That was such a nice day together.

I stopped in at Keepsake a couple of weeks ago, at 70% off. It was so sad to see all of the empty shelves. I will miss them!

You really found some pretty fabrics. So sad to see the quilt stores close. We've had a few close around here and they take a part of me with them.

Hi, Vic -- you got a good buy as you said good-bye! It's sad that Keepsake closed the store. (And I'll bet the Center Harbor economy is going to be affected -- no more quilting tourists and spouses to stop for lunch or ice cream.) (Your Golden Gese friends will surely help you plug any holes in your stash.)
