My little lab, Luau, was a hard-core cuddler right up until her very end.
Now her struggles with adeniodal cancerous tumors are all gone and she has passed peacefully into another realm of reality that is beyond my grasp. As Felix and I left the veterinarian's office we felt sad but also glad that there was no suffering. My prayer was; "Thank you, God, for your beautiful gift which I now return to you."

I am so sorry for your loss and understand completely how you are feeling. Losing a beloved pet is, in my books, the worst. But thankfully, the suffering for them is over, and we can find peace in knowing they had a wonderful, loving family, while they were here, and blessed us with their unconditional love.
*hugs*
Thank God she had someone who truly loved and cared for her. Oh how I know and share your pain -their devotion to us and love just cannot be replaced. What a beautiful girl and now over the Rainbow Bridge she goes - to keep my Brady (lost him in August) company. I miss him so much. Judy C
So, so sorry for your loss. So, so proud of your brave and selfless decision of one so loved. No one ever loves us as unconditionally as our pets. Your are in my thoughts.
Vic, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It is always difficult to let one go.
There are times when words seem so inadequate and this is one of those times. My heart-felt sympathies over the loss of so loyal and loving a companion.
Oh dear - I'm sorry. What joy our pets give us and they ask so little in return. Labs are especially wonderful. Your photos are sweet, bringing tears to my eyes, remembering dogs I've loved as well. 8-)
