Thank you for reading my blog. Thank you for being my often secret-from-me audience. I love telling you my little stories of quilting and what's doing in my life. It entertains me as it entertains you. I'm 63 years old and I'm the living proof that it's never too late to have a happy childhood!
When I was a kid, everybody in my family made snide remarks to me, like,
"If you ask Victoria what time it is, she'll tell you how to build a watch."
"Victoria, you never finish anything!"
"Victoria, that's another run-on sentence."
How hurtful. How devaluing. I tried so hard to clam up and shut up. But the quintessential part of me, being the real me, is that drifting, dreamy, dragonfly-attention-spanned storyteller. Here on this blog, I can blossom, thanks to you! Just knowing that you are reading this is very validating. Thanks!
By the way, I FINISHED these two churn dash blocks this morning! And that completes the 63 that I needed, WHEEEEE!!
I hope you will accept the inner parts of you that others may not value and find a way to feel successful.
Be happy in your self-praise!

The blocks look fabulous. Congratulations on the finish of them.
It is amazing how hurtful remarks like that can be on a person.
I'm glad you have overcome those hurtful messages, Vic, and that you are happy in your current "childhood". : )
Congrats on finishing 63 blocks. There is a churndash pattern in my short list. Wonder if I will ever get to it? *LOL*
I very much enjoy reading your blog, and your sunny outlook on life!
Victoria your chair in the spring photo is amazing.
Victoria you are so sweet sharing things that could make you vulnerable.
Victoria your blocks look fabulous....
Hi Victoria, I've been reading your blog for the last year and I look forward to seeing what you have to say each day! Love your quilts too!
Just started following your blog and I certainly am enjoying it!
Hi Victoria! I've been enjoying your blog for sometime now and like you just the way you are. So glad you are having a happy childhood and I think it's time I also started having one. Thanks for the smiles.
Our worst traits are our best traits, depending on the circumstances - and vica versa, of course. What's wrong with learning how to build a watch? LOL
I am a terrier when needed, called stubborn by those who don't like my terrier-ness, but when it's needed, I don't give up until there is a solution to whatever. Too bad we don't get patted on the back enough!
BTW, thanks for your continuing blogging, weather reports, quilt displays and eye candy display over all the times you've been blogging - your site is always welcoming to ME.
Vic, Thank you for sharing!! Sometimes that is the hardest part and I do enjoy following along with you and your activities. Of course, Raven also gets some of my attention. LOL
Sunshine. That's what I think of when I read your blog.
I love you and your blog! You have brought so many wonderful smiles to my face. And then there's Miss Raven! LOL! Even love hearing about Mathew and Felix.
Your blog is the first one I read when I sign on here. You just keep on being "you". :-)
Hi Vic, I have just caught up on your posts. I read all the way back to Jan. I am amazed at the work you have completed this year. Your photos are great but I don't envy you with all that snow. I noticed you have an Etsy shop. I have thought about doing that. Was it easy to set up? I now have an easier way to read my blogs on my IPad so I should be able to keep up.
I have always enjoyed your writings. You're a wonderful person with a caring spirit. God bless
