Welcoming Back Winter!

A soundless, windless snow fell all day and transformed our world.

My design board and layout area is temporarily back to being just a driveway.

And I'm perfectly happy with that because my Sister's Choice is all trimmed anyway, so I have all the time in the world to get bindings prepared for it.

This snow outlined every twig of my wisteria vine which always is a thrill to look at.

This turtledove rested after feasting on my generous supply of black oil sunflower seeds.

The whole flock flew off as I snapped the above photo that only captures two slowpokes.

For those of you who are craving something quilty, I did break my inertia and sew my first of the nine "B" blocks for Easy Street.

It is not pressed yet. I'm too busy nursing my mocha and gawking at the lovely snow. You'd think that after 63 New England winters that I'd be sick of it, but I'm not. It still fills me with wonder!

Oh, Vic, you and I make quite a pair. I have had 55 winters in the Rockies, and I am still grabbing my camera and running outside morning after morning to catch the pristine wonderland in photos (and I can never do it justice). So many people move south after retiring to get away from winter, but we have no such plans.
Now I want to see your A & B blocks together! : )

Boy, I guess there are a few of us that like winter. A fresh snow always makes the world look so bright, clean, and fresh. Love the snow and bird pictures. The quilt block too! LOL

So that's where the snow went! It left Ohio and went to your house. I love to feed the birds too, but I have squirrels that rob my feeders constantly, so I put up one for the birds and one for the squirrels. Your Easy Street blocks look awesome. I can't wait to see it all together.

I guess you won't have a driveway layout this week!

Still no snow in northeasternmost Illinois. We've broken yet another record.
