Working With Dragon Version 12

W, The new program for voice recognition typing is a challenge for me on my blog. Felix and Matthew gave this to me for Christmas and everything you see here has been typed by the program.

I worked today on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt named easy Street. I got the rest of the triangle assemblies completed. That had been my goal to complete for Friday. Now I am happy to have one of the six Dean 16 blocks Don Done. Done 16 it took it that time assemblies it got at that time.

Is the program learning the knee to me or is the program something that I am learning? It's sort of funny to see what it says when it makes a mistake. One of you asked me to report on Dragon because you were considering buying it. It is important to speak clearly into the microphone. And remember that you can always use your keyboard to make corrections.orking with Dragon

I haThe (call errors) the colors seem to be too many, (to my deep to my D20 mighty TO all to my D) too muddy, and too disorganized. But now that I have one block (may need) made, I like the colors better. Paragraph

I have left the dragons errors here so that you can see where it goofed up. It's the fifth laughing out loud.ve been a little bit discouraged about my color choice as to easy Street.

I bet that as you get more of it put together, your Easy Street quilt will grow on you.

Your comedy of errors with your new voice recognition software was interesting to read. I especially liked "six dean" for "sixteen", and "call errors' for "colors"

LOL nice post! I use Dragon 10 sometimes for working, as I do transcription and believe me - it takes a while for the program to learn how you speak. You can even go in and train the program with various words. Keep up with it and it will work better and better as you go along.

Nice posts lately on your Bonnie Hunter Easy Street quilt adventures :)

Vic, I think your small red squares will create a strong pattern in your finished quilt after. When I scrolled down and saw your finished block -- well, it's beautiful! It's busy because of the color variations in the patterns of some of your fabrics but it really is just lovely. Lovely!

I'm reconsidering one of my colors for Easy Street. I was watching one of Bonnie's quilt cams one evening just after she announced the colors and I remember her saying that the quilt was all about color. It IS about color but I think it's just as much about value. The color I'm thinking about changing is my teal because its value doesn't vary enough from the reds and army greens.

I'm looking forward to seeing more blocks as you work on them.

Too funny! I had the dragon app on my iPad and my paragraph looked just like yours. I gave up on it. Our telephone company also sends emails with any messages that are left for us at home and they can be quite funny also! So glad to see your Easy Street quilt blocks. Hopefully I will get mine posted tomorrow...

I got a kick out of reading what dragon wrote. : )
It is hard to tell what the quilt will look like until you get a few more blocks together. I like the finished block you have shown.
I have no idea how my colors will come together.

Seems to me your voice recognition program has the same problem my SYNC has, it doesn’t understand us. I ask for directions and it doesn’t understand what I ask, and we go around and around and I end up laughing so hard I have to pull over and recover from laughing before I can drive on, after looking at the map of course.

What a hoot! I had to go get another cup of coffee this morning so I could settle down and translate your blog entry! :-) I love when Dragon got the hiccups and spit out several possible solutions for what you "might" have said (Like 16!)! I guess it has to get used to you. I'm sure you'll end up the best of friends! :-) As to your colors on Easy Street, judging by the last photo, I think you're going to love them! It's harder to see with the triangles because they're not a finished design in themselves, they're just going to pull the whole quilt together when you have all the squares done. But that one block you showed? Beautiful! Keep on truckin'!

Gosh you scared me there for a sec until I realized what the heck you were doing with that Dragon thing I thought oh no Vic is losing her marbles! Whew!! Glad you're okay!!!!
lol
Anyway, just to say, I had grave misgivings about my color choices as well, but just push ahead! It will be fine once you get it all together! Your colors are great!

Looking good - love scrappy quilts! Congratulations on your huge success yesterday - way to pass that quilt shop and not buying on eBay!!! Huge, girl, just huge!!! Stashbusters to the rescue with support, we are all trying to stay on that no-buy wagon!

I've used Dragon for years for genealogy purposes/transcriptions and liked it but haven't ever tried it for anything else since I'm actually a speedy typer even with these old fingers.

I didn't participate in Bonnie's mystery this year since the last two are still sitting here as flimsies but I've enjoyed visiting the blogs of those who have participated.
