One winter storm is replaced by yet another and then another.
Will winter never end, we all wonder?
Today, Wednesday, was sunny but a bone-chilling high of 18°F driven with 43mph winds all day.
Freezing rain cancelled The Sunshine Club session yesterday.
And for a cool 28 hours, I waited for the owner of this dog to come and claim him. He is a 6 month old untrained puppy and he had several accidents in my home in spite of my taking him out every half hour. I should've just taken him into the shelter. Next time I will not give the owner such liberties with me as the Animal Control Officer.
There wasn't much time for sewing, but I did put some blocks into rows on that Scrappy Civil War Log Cabin, no pictures yet of that progress.
But I did do some bonus triangles from the flying geese units that I've been making from the Time Warp. They're a great leader/ender.
Mostly, I'm just praying we can keep our power tonight in the high winds.
Happy sewing!

I know you look forward to the day when your yard matches the photo at the head of your blog! It got up to 70 on Sunday, then a front came through and we've had 40's. I went to the beach today -- the pack ice along the shoreline is greatly diminished.
Your sewing projects are appealing, as always. Good for you to tackle those cut-away triangles now. [I like "cut-away" rather than "waste," because they aren't waste.]
I hear you on the weather. Enough, already. :(
oohh love love love those pinwheel blocks....and thanks for keeping the snow in YOUR yard, not ours....we are missing all the recent snow...but it is cold and very windy too

Oh, poor Vic! You certainly need a quilt-meeting and soon, to recover from all this!!
But your first step is done : you did some sewing! ;)
And it's lovely!!
Hoping that the snow will stay away from now on and spring will come!
Here we say : this snow is chasing the old one and preparing for spring.
Best wishes!
My goodness, you have had enough winter to last a few years!
I really like your pinwheel blocks. Will you keep saving them up for a full bed quilt?
the pinwheels area great way to use those extra triangles. Love them! Love the log cabin too. And yes, it is snowing here again too. Spring WILL be here soon!
