Taking My Camera For A Drive

Coming home from my weekly Zumba dance class, I drove through one of the prettiest roads where wind and rain had not yet dislodged all the fall-colored leaves from the beeches and oaks. It was sunny and the light just glowed through the leaves as they tumbled in the air.

The camera did not capture the brilliant blue skies, but they were so bright it made you just feel good to be alive to see the sky. Maybe someday I'll do an autumn quilt. If I do, it will be nice, but it won't hold a candle to God's paintbrush in New England.

Last night I enjoyed my regular Belknap Mill Quilter's guild meeting but I brought nothing to show & tell. To me, I have a personal rule that I will not bring anything unless it is done and bound. This helps me to stay motivated to finish stuff. But here is what I've been doing on those 16-patches for Patches & Pinwheels.

I need about 100 of these and right now, I'm up to 60, so it's coming along!

Will you be able to finish this one before Orca Bay starts?

I'm driving myself nuts trying to get some more finishes in (not to mention everything cleaned up and organized) before next weekend.

What a fantastic view! The winds and rain have came through and almost everything is gone around here.
