Halfway on Step 2!

Here it is on Monday and I'm already halfway done with the Step 2 of the mystery.
My pieces are slightly oversized and lots of better piecers than I am have admitted that theirs needed trimming too.
Before I invest any extra time in trimming them, I think i'll just wait and see where/how they are supposed to fit into the quilt top.
Wouldn't it be swell if they are part of some Sawtooth Stars? My favorite!
I just love the quaint olde timey fabrics that I'm using! Can you see the little chicken wire design of golden lines on the chocolate brown in the bottom left corner up there? Must use another cheddar next, I think!

I've been watching for you to linkup on Easy Street. I missed the most recent swaps on the yahoo group but I'll be back. Love your colors. Have fun, I am.

I'd never even considered the possibility of sawtooth stars. Wouldn't that be fun?

Your flying geese are turning out so nice. I love the look and can't wait to see the finished quilt. You have me beat, since I only have twenty of the geese done.

Loving your fabrics! Your geese look perfect Vic. And will look even more perfect in the quilt. Yes, I hope for some kind of Star block too. Love them. I just made a Sawtooth Star block for my FW quilt.

It is great to see people choose different colour combinations. I am using similar background colours to you. I will follow your progress with interest.

I'm thinking if they were stars the colors would be reversed. You just never know though though! Love your colors.

The photos took forever to load (not sure why) but when they did - wow! I love your fabrics and the geese look gorgeous.

Looking great Vic - and I must say, it doesn't happen often but your header pic made me a little homesick - I'm a Florida gal now and have been for longer than I lived up north - but was born and raised in Manchester and spent my first 23yrs there...I'll be back...to your blog that is! :)

Your flying geese look awesome in that fabric! Did you use the rulers technique? I have not started mine yet because I was out of town two days for teacher meetings. Hope to get started today after work. I did get my 4-patches done though and was happy about that.
