Creating My Own Happiness!

Friday Quilters at The Golden Gese quilt shop had another wonderful session of trading peppermints and Hersey's solid milk chocolate nuggets. Yes, yes, we did some quilting, too, LOL!

Above, you can see that Sue finished her gorgeous batiks lap quilt. It is a stunner!

And Beverly has begun a new baby quilt using the same templates.

Here, below, you can see her auditioning the borders. It is so cute!

Maureen is also working on a baby quilt, but with applique. Here she is with one of the first blocks.

I was loving the quilt hanging on the back wall, too. If that is offered in a class, I may hafta take it, LOL!

I got two of my pieced borders for the Shenandoah Valley quilt assembled, but I did not get them sewn onto the quilt yet. Here I am, having a ball sewing them on "Scottie," my little Scotland-made 1951 Singer Featherweight.

As I had driven in to Concord, New Hampshire, for this sew along, I was smitten by the love of the bright sunshine through the golden leaves.

These are photos of the Suncook River beside Stage Road in Gilmanton Iron Works, New Hampshire.

Sometimes, in the past, I have painted small watercolors inspired by these views.

I hope that you find beauty and joy and good companionship in your day!

Happy sewing!

I think your title is so apt. You always seem to be able to find something to be happy about. That is such a gift!

Loving that batik Drunkard's Path quilt. Maybe because I'm working on some DP blocks of my own, but I'm seeing them crop up all over at the moment :)
