I was going to skip the next Bonnie K. Hunter mystery. I came up with about a thousand reasons not to do it. Then I saw the introduction and the name "Easy Street." I hafta do it! I'm in.
For those of you who might not know it, twenty years ago, I named our steeply sloping winter-icy driveway, "Easy Street." For $28.00, I bought a genuine bona fide street sign from the signs department at the Concord prison and we installed it. I even tried to get the town to let me use, "Two Easy Street" as my address, but they refused, saying it was only a driveway.

I have decided that I don't want to make a purple/aqua/lime quilt, but rather want to use some of my large collection of Civil War reproduction fabrics.

How could you pass on that one? We have an Easy St. in our area and I chuckle each time we pass it.
So glad you're in on this one. I was going to use my CW fabrics, but I'm already making a CW quilt. So I opted for the 30's fabrics. I've 3 quilts going on at the same time. Happens every year at this time!
You're too funny, Vic, to buy an "Easy Street" sign for your driveway. I love it!
I've never done a mystery quilt but I think I'm too particular to make a quilt that I'm not sure I'll like. What if you don't like the pattern?

You could scan the street sign onto fabric and use it for the label.
I am not sure what my color choices will be for Easy Street!
DH worked for the county highway department and made me my own street sign that says
"Subee Street".

I didn't know you lived on Easy Street! You certainly do have to make this quilt now! I'm in on this quilting adventure too and have never done one with Bonnie before. I'm excited. I decided to follow her colors or something close to them so had to go material shopping today . . . fun!
