What Fun!

Yesterday, when I got to The Mothership (a.k.a. Keepsake Quilting's retail store in Center Harbor, New Hampshire), I wore my bright red "Fabricaholics Anonymous" tee shirt, and had to laugh that people thought I worked there! LOL! If I were to, I'd never bring an earned penny home because I'd spend every dime with an employee discount.
I was a pretty good girl! I only bought one set of 20 Fat Quarters for $25 that were all Civil War stuff.
Now the darks are already drip drying on my clothesline in the pale sun and mild breeze.

I was lucky to get this many Civil War selections because they were scoffed up quickly by the crowd.

I guess they are starting to catch on here in northern New England.

While I was shopping, I bumped into Jean Vaillaincourt and we had great fun finding lucious teals for her. I had also been chatting it up with Ruth, who lives near me in Alton, and asked her to snap my picture for the blog.
The three of us decided to carry on the Keepsake Shopper's tradition of going over to the Meredith Drunkin Donuts for coffee and continued conversation. We feasted upon a few munchkins with ideas for quilt tops flying back and forth. Here are Ruth and Jean.
We had a great time!

Today is the traditional Veteran's Day. To all Veterans, thank you for your service to our country!
I spoke on the phone with John Abraham, Matthew's Dad, this morning and thanked him personally.
He is 85 and still going strong! Yeay!!!

Well, I can see you didn't buy out the store but I love what you did select. I am working on a Dear Jane quilt with Civil War fabrics. That is the only time I have used them. They are beautiful.

Very nice fabrics Vic. Especially like the background fabrics. Can never have enough of those. I have to say I'm impressed you didn't buy more than that. Good willpower. I'm glad you had such a great time with the girls too. Make something beautiful!

Good fabric choices, Vic. That is what I would have gone for as well. : )
