New Year's Eve

It's been busy with visitors here, my neighbors, Alfred & Ilse, and a few quick dog calls of family strays who needed to be reunited with their worried owners, and my wonderful neighbor Al, who plowed us out of the two snowstorms. But despite all that, I'm keeping up with the mystery.

The two photos above are step 6.
Starting on step 7, ready to press.

All 64 of these goose steps done and pressed.

Now the four corner triangle assemblies.

I got these four assembled, pressed, and trimmed their dogears.

Then I looked though my whole basket of Easy Street clue parts trying to find the 3 1/2" green squares to no avail. I think that I forgot to cut them! LOL!

I'll do that in the morning when I'm fresh because I don't like to cut at night. Then I can work on the 12 triangle assemblies that use the green squares.

We are enjoying our tradition of staying home and off the roads on New Year's Eve with our glass of wine (Pink Muscato from Gallo) and homemade cheese fondue over chunks of Italian bread.
I am celebrating that I smoked my last cigarette four years ago tonight at five minutes of midnight. Four years! I am free of the slavery of nicotine and so grateful to the medicine called Chantix that helped me to quit.

Vic--Happy New Year to you and yours. Your colors are looking very nice. I have the two of the smaller triangles done and working on the other two. Tomorrow I'll work on the twelve larger triangles. How Bonnie thinks these things up is a wonder to me, but I'm thankful that she does. Congrats on your no smoking anniversary. Kate in CT

Happy New Year, Vic! I'm loving your progress and fabric choices for Easy Street. I got started with Step One, but was then waylaid. Hope to catch up ASAP! Congratulations on your No Smoking anniversary. That's huge! Happy 2013!

Happy New Year, Vic. What a victory, four years without smoking; good for you! I have been trying to catch up with Easy Street this week (still working on flying geese) and am excited that we have a corner block to make. Guess what? I had a small glass of Pink Moscato for a New Years toast too. "Cheers!" I'm looking forward to a new year of quilting!

Your Easy Street is looking very classy to me, Vic.
Congrats on your 4th anniversary smoke-free! That is great!
Just a little apple/peach sparkling cider for me tonight. First year we haven't hosted a family party on NYE in a couple of decades. Just wasn't up to speed after spending the past week sick.
Happy New Year to you--and here's to meeting up this fall at Keepsake Quilting!

Happy New Year Vic!! And congrats on your anniversary. That is my only new year's resolution.. to quit smoking. In the next few weeks I'll set a date and do it. I may check with my Dr about Chantrix... I know another woman who used it 5 months ago and it worked for her as well.

Boo Hoo! in the meantime I have been cutting out a quilt (small pieces) and am almost done... just 800 white squares to cut... have a great day everybody.
