At The Golden Gese Quilt Shop on 22 Liberty Street in Concord, New Hampshire, the Friday Quilters were given either instructions and or a small kit to make a Heart block for the block drive. We hope to make a few to put into a priority mailing envelope to send to the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild for quilts for the Orlando Massacre victims and families. Link.
Sue, seen below, had brought in her finished Tee shirt quilt and it's a beauty!
Sue used an inexpensive Pellon lightweight interfacing to stabilize the fronts of the tee shirts and then cut them and bordered each one with sports fabrics.
The backing is a tribute to her grandaughter's marine biology major, so special!
This was professionally quilted in a large even meander and it came out terrific.

Claire's granddaughter, Madison wanted to model her super hand dyed shirt that she made herself.
But wait! Look at the back, wheee! good work, Maddie!
Maureen, seen below, was just starting her second folded wreath, this one in her Christmas fabrics.
Beverly was doing one in patriotic fabrics.

"Lil' Claire, seen below, was showing us her very dramatic black and white blocks that have touches of red accents.
One of her most innovative black and white blocks was this musical note, so cool!
Maureen had surprised us all by bringing in her now-famously delicious Pineapple Upside-Down Cake that was sweetened by her son's maple syrup. It was so good! I had extra whipped cream, yum!
Sue, below, was still doing great on her "Storytellers" piecing for her block of the month top.
The upstairs gang was very busy, too! Here's Claire showing two of her fabulous chicken blocks. Claire is hiding behind the blocks, while Jan holds up the other side of one of them.
Madison was sewing charms together. Looking good, Maddie!
Heidi was working on some special fabrics. Wow, chocolates, right up my alley!

I enjoyed taking all these pictures, eating cake, and socializing with everybody and I even made some headway on my last 16-block run of Mile-A-Minute Log Cabin blocks, wheeee!
This is what they look like when they get a little further along.
When I got home to beautiful downtown Gilmanton Iron Works, Felix had made a big platter of beer-batter deep fried chicken fingers. They were so hot and juicy! I ate myself silly, LOL!
Outdoors, the June air is still sunny, dry, and mild. My rambling rose bushes scent the air.
Right next to those are the fragrant mock orange bushes, which are the delight of the Swallowtail Butterflies. Can you see her or him?
After all that cooking for me, Felix, my Husband Wonderful, took a nice relaxing nap between two of his favorite quilts. "Milky Way" is over him, "Chain Of Faith" is under him.
Life is good, quilt on!

Always so much to absorb from your fun, quilty posts. I think the thing that caught my eye the most this time were the strutting chicken blocks. Well, besides the wonderful quilts Husband Wonderful is using. : )
