A Marshmallow World In The Winter

I love all snow, but my heart stops for snow that outlines every tree!

Miss Emma Lynne's dogyard becomes magical to me.

It had all melted away off the roads in time for me to go to Friday Quilters to get a few more pillow case gifts ready to sew.
Maureen was there, and she was making a cute doubled layer of turquoise terry cloth hand towel.

Someone is getting a "Frozen" Christmas quilt this year! Here is Heidi holding up her quilt.

I did a few more units of Step 2 of the Bonnie Hunter mystery, so now I'm up to 50 of the 100 that I'll need. The Step 3 units got a few of their greens and neutrals cut out, too.

But I spent most of my afternoon enjoying the company of my older sister, Suzanne. For her "big" present to me this year, she took me out to the Rochester, New Hampshire, Opera House for The Nutcracker Ballet matinee performance. No photos were allowed of the ballet, but this is the interior of the historic Victorian era theater. We both loved it! Many of the dancers were very young children and we both agreed that the "Gingerbread Cookies" stole the show.

On the ride home, we reminisced a few scenes from our childhood, sang some Christmas carols, and took a private vote on "Best Christmas Lights in the Neighborhood" in a competition that we made up just for the occasion. It was a great Christmas present and I'll treasure the memories!

As for the picture of the bright red male cardinal at the birdfeeder? Well, that was the one that got away, LOL!!!!

Keep laughing and stitch a little if you can!
